11-year-old william mcquain. he is the missing germantown boy whose mother was found murdered this week. there was a big search in trying to find him. and this is why police decided to search two parks near william's house. >> reporter: police spent the day combing through two parks. both are near william's home. state authorities said they gathered information that led them to the parks. authorities say even though they were searching for his body, the hope is that he'll be found alive. count, state and park police activitied in the search. william mcquain was last seen two weeks ago. his mother jane mcquain was found stabbed and beaten to death in their germantown condo they have arrested her ex- husband 41-year-old curtis lopez and charges him with murder. but there's still no sign of

william. and investigators say they're still developing all leads in this case. firefighter across the nation were honored with a memorial. more than 5,000 people paid their respect to 72 firefighters who lost their lives last year. they are now on the memorial. >> pretty emotional. just seeing the different families walking up and seeing the kids. >> leaving behind the children and the wife, especially the young ones. you know that is a difficult bridge that they'll have to possible. >> 72 firefighters passed away in 2010. 17 other firefighters from years pass were also added to the memorial. the number that did passed is lower to other years due in part to more safety programs being introduced. four mentally challenged

adult were found chained in the basement of a building. they were chained in a boiler room to steal their social security checks. the victims were malnourished and had bedsores. and the police believe they were trapped there for days. police in indiana and ohio were led on a 70 miles chase. they were trying to keep with a young girl in a pickup truck. and the chase began newcastle, indiana. she took a couple of freeways and at times topping 90 miles an hour before coming to a stop in western ohio. police say that the chase began around 5:00 in the morning where the deputy tried to pull the girl over for speeding and the girl is now in juvenile custody. this is not spain. but a small arizona town is

southwesterly wind so we've had a lot of clouds. but we are running into stronger warm air section. this is pushing warm air ahead of the frontal boundary. it down sloped from the mountains themselves and causes the air to compress and dry out. and that will delay the onset of cool air. so we need a northwesterly and north wind to get a quicker impact that have cold air. and otherwise there's a delay and modification of that we give ourselves more sun today. the clouds try to roll their ways back in tomorrow. and another wave of energy from the west and developing storm coming up from the south will combine forces on top of central maryland. once that storm crosses us on wednesday, we'll crank up the wind and build up more moisture and we could have a heavy rain maker on the way. and that will drag in colder air for the end of the week so autumn will make a return.
